Many rooms back onto our secure garden area; providing residents with access and views. We have raised flower beds, a comfortable summer house, a water feature and the most recent project completed is our ‘beach’. There are pathways throughout the garden, offering ample space for walking.

Hazelwell Lodge comprises three open units with adjoining corridors giving space and freedom to move freely across the home.

We offer four lounges where our residents can enjoy socialising, quiet time or maybe carrying out a chosen activity.  In 2022 we transformed one of our lounges into a Bar ‘The Lodge inn’.  This is an environment that can be utilised in so many ways. A quite coffee. Partying with friends and family or just go in for a pint and a game of dominoes and darts.

We have three dining rooms. Residents can choose where they would like to eat their meals, and food can also be served in individual rooms if preferred. We always encourage the dining room experience to promote social interaction and stimulation.

Our experienced chefs provide delicious, fresh, home-cooked food. The menu is well-balanced, using high-quality, often local ingredients. We cater to special diets, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and diabetic options. All meals are freshly prepared and cooked in our kitchen. Our menus are seasonal and offer residents a daily choice of meals. Typically, the main meal is served at lunch, while the evening meal is a lighter option. Finger foods and snacks are available throughout the day and night.

Most of our activities take place in one of the main lounges. The Activity Room at Hazelwell Lodge is multifunctional. It can seat a large table of residents for various activities and also serves as a cinema and Snoezelen room.

Communal activities primarily occur within the main lounges. The Activity Room in the Orchids lounge is very versatile. It accommodates a substantial table for resident activities and doubles as a cinema and Snoezelen room.

Residents are encouraged to visit our hair salon and treatment room as often as they like. We prioritise their wellbeing and appearance by offering a range of services. Whether residents need a routine hair wash, cut and styling, or prefer a manicure and pedicure our salon is fully equipped to meet their needs.

All of our bedrooms are of single occupancy many of which have ensuite toilet and shower facilities. Tastefully decorated to include bed, bedside wardrobe comfort chair and Smart TV. We encourage our residents to personalise their rooms as much as possible to aid comfort and familiarity.
